Pore size changes in use

Compression closes openings; poor fit lets water bypass edges. A graded coarse-to-fine sequence spreads solids through depth instead of building one dense skin.

Continuous fine polishing may not justify its service demand. Temporary use after substrate work is often more controlled.

Restore function, not sterility

Rinse foam enough to restore passage. Replace floss that mats or cannot release debris. Avoid discarding every colonised mechanical surface together.

If particles persist, inspect circulation and bypass before adding another fine layer.
